Stupid Cupid

This painting is oil on a 20x20 inch canvas. It is based on the painting Diana and Cupid by Pompeo Batoni from 1761. By zooming in and cropping the image, I focused more on the interaction between Diana and Cupid fighting over one of his arrows. I also incorporated the text “Stupid Cupid,” and used a limited color palette that highlights the different attitudes and characteristics of the two personalities.
